The Jones family have been at Bistre Farm since the early 1900’s. In 1974 Dennis Jones and his wife Ena started to sell home produced lamb and that’s where it all started.
Sons Nicholas and Philip were involved with the business right from the beginning, in 1980 after completing their education, both returned home to work in the business, which resulted in the business expanding and the opening of a shop in the local town of Buckley.
In 1993, with business booming and the shop becoming even more popular, it was decided to relocate to the main shopping centre in the town. Philip is ably assisted with the day to day running by the shop staff and assistant manager Gavin, whilst Nicholas works behind the scenes and is responsible for the administration side of things.
In January 2022 we completed our move into 11 & 12 Buckley Shopping Centre, closing the door on number 10 after 28 years. In our new premises we are able to offer a wider range of products with more space for our customers to browse. Despite the many changes that we have witnessed over the years our original business ethos of providing quality products at competitive prices along with friendly and polite service remains unchanged.
